Now we are three...

Justin and I have added a member to... us. We just adopted a new puppy. Her name is Charlie and she is a pug/pit bull mix. After spending two full days of searching shelter after shelter for a new puppy and me crying after every one, J and I had given up and gone home for a nap. I had some feeling to throw in one more punch, so I checked craigslist. Sure enough, a family had just posted a litter of these pups. We were on our way out to SE Portland in minutes! We got the chance to meet both parents, which were both calm souls. The mother was the pug and she only had 4 puppies in her litter.

On the way home we chose her name, although J was saving the name for his first born daughter, we decided this was our first born:) She has been making the transition from mom and pups, to us quite well. She is already pretty much potty trained and crate trained. Her first trick is sit, which she does while we prepare her food.

 We really have no idea how large she will be when full grown, but are hoping smaller than 25lbs. Thanks to Cesar Millan, we are learning to be the leaders of the pack and teaching her from right and wrong. It's actually pretty exhausting!!! The discipline is constant! She is learning more and more everyday which is the most rewarding feeling.

We can't wait for her second round of shots so we can take her out on walks! So far she is great and very outgoing with people. We're excited for her puppy class @ 12 weeks where she can make some new puppy friends. I'm sure she misses her sisters very much!!
